Today I’m Grateful for…

Jessica, the wonderful groomer who adores Sir Barksalot. He will be pampered and praised, given treats and sprayed with Paco Rabanne-like doggy deodorant by the time I pick him up. He will be de-furred to the detriment of Jessica’s lungs, and told how absolutely magnificent he is.

Plus, I get a quiet morning.

Win-Win!!!

The Power of the Dog

This series of photos are awe inspiring. I’ve always been fascinated by the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race but these dogs are amazing.

One of the photos shows the dog food being doled out. My first thought was: is that all they get for as hard as they work? I’m hoping they get fed twice a day but I don’t know.

Did some more research – evidently, they get fed multiple times a day.

Aren’t dogs amazing? (Okay, cats are amazing, too!)

The Statue and the Pigeon

I was looking for the picture of a pigeon on Morguefile when I saw this - isn't it pretty?

Some days you’re the statue. Some days you’re the pigeon.

I’ve been the statue all day and at least a hundred pigeons have flown overhead. In fact, there might have been a hundred times a hundred pigeons.

The good thing about being a statue is that you can wash off and tomorrow maybe you’re the pigeon. Jeepers, I hope so.
