Le sigh.

Le sigh times two.

I broke my MacBook Pro.

I was updating the operating system and it was taking way too long. I’m talking four hours. So, I interrupted the update and rebooted and then got the dreaded circle with a slash through it.

I used to be able to fix a Windows PC. I’m not nearly as adept – if such a word can be used – with Apple products. I’ve only been an Apple Fan Girl for about 5 years now.

Off I went to the great Google in the sky. How the heck do I repair my laptop? The instructions consisted of six steps. I diligently did the six steps. Nothing. The machine was still dead. I did them again, with a slightly different twist.

Bottom line, it took five hours and more patience than I have exhibited in a long time, but I fixed it. As a matter of fact, I’m typing this blog post on it.

I read something the other day that the two criteria common to all very old people are: stubbornness and optimism.

At the rate I’m going, I should live to be 150.
