… for getting me safely home even though my cab driver turned into a maniac, driving through the first rain in weeks like a banshee out of hell. Not only could I not see out of my left eye but I was grateful for it as I sat in the backseat, closed my eyes, and try to ignore the fact that I was going to die any moment.
…Thank you also that the laser procedure only took five minutes and that it was relatively painless. Although I have to admit that when she said you will feel a pinch it was a bit more than that. The sensation of fluid spraying out of my eye was different. I’m going to take some aspirin now and watch TV sort of.
…I’m still glad I made the decision to take a taxi – considering the rain and despite the kamikaze nature of my driver.
I’m also grateful that I live in 2017 and that my eye issues can be so easily solved. And finally I am grateful that I don’t have to have my right eye done for a week or two.
