So, I thought I’d start by telling you something I experience every morning that’s really, really positive.
I sit down and write.
I feel this lead shielded door slowly rise in my mind. The blank screen, glaring white, and my mind greet each other.
“Hi, how ya doin’?” says the screen.
“Great. I had a wonderful idea for a new scene.”
“Lay it on me, babe. You’re lookin’ mighty fine this morning.”
“Why, thank you. Thank you very much.”
I have to confess that a blank screen is like a new box of crayons for me. Fun, fun, fun. Play time to the max. I have all this room for words. The word THE can start so much. Each word is a challenge, a brick to build a world that exists in a separate dimension and is trying to be born in order to be shared. It’s an amazing phenomenon that thrills me every morning.
