Mairi and Logan make a fascinating couple that will cause the reader to laugh one second and curse the next. The author’s depiction of the early years of feminism and suffrage paint a dramatic backdrop for the story of a woman who was clearly born out of time and the man who is her match. This innovative historical is a refreshing and welcome change from the usual formula.

I loved The Virgin of Clan Sinclair for its humor, its complex secondary characters and its cheeky hero and heroine. The banter between Ellice and Ross was amusing, and both characters were easy to love. I found myself chuckling at some of the scenes between Logan and Mairi, two of the secondary characters whose stories are told in another installment. Ross’s insightful mother, Janet, was another one of my favorite characters. This novel went above and beyond what I expect to find in a romance novel. The pages just flew by.
