You stare back at him with owl eyes.
You’re currently reading:
- 50 Shades of …
- a delicious Karen Ranney book (shameless self promotion)
- an urban fantasy with a kick-ass heroine
Do you tell him?
We all know interviewers are supposed to be objective, but a twitch of the lip, a glint in the eye gives someone away every time.
- Or do you fall back on something non-fiction?
- Or tell him that you’ve decided to re-read the classics and have started with A Tale of Two Cities?
Me? I’d probably go the: “I’ve decided to re-read the classics…” line. Why? Well, what I’m reading is very personal to me. Plus, like it or not, people tend to judge you by outmoded and wrong assumptions. It’s just easier to give him some non-information.
Also, I’d be imagining the following discussion:
“My wife likes that book. She says it’s gets her frisky.”
What about you?
What would you say?
