I thought I’d share my favorite non-fiction books of 2013 with you. In order to be considered a “favorite” of mine, I have to have oodles of things highlighted in the book. You can pretty much guarantee that pages and pages of these books are in yellow.
The first two were recommended by Kim Doyal (thewpchick.com) and I loved, loved, loved both books.
The War of Art by Steven Pressfield (love his blog and his other books, too)
Most of us are creative. Some of us might not know it. You don’t have to be a writer to love it.
I loved this book because it made sense. What’s the one thing that separates failure from success? Why will one person be successful and another doing almost the same thing not be? I discovered that I’d been doing a similar thing in my life, only I called it tenacity.
The other two I found somehow. I have a tendency to follow links so sometimes I don’t remember where it all started.
I’m fascinated with why people do things. Why, for example, will one person freeze in a plane crash and another rush to safety? Great points on how to act in a crisis, too.
I absolutely believe that crowd wisdom can come to a consensus faster, and with better results, than our “experts”.
Have you read any of these? Do you have a non-fiction book you’d recommend?
