Once upon a time, in a land really very close, there was an author who toiled away in obscurity. She wrote her widdle fingers to the bone.

As the day drew near for her new book to be published (6/26/12), and she was sitting in the corner, biting her nails, her fairy godmother appeared. Now, her fairy godmother always reminded our intrepid author a little of her mother, a woman who had the ability to slap said author upside the head every once in awhile, which the godmother did now.

“Are you nuts?” the fairy godmother asked. “Why are you just sitting here doing nothing?”

“I don’t want to look tacky by asking people to help me get the word out about ASS.”

“Again, are you nuts? Do you like the book?”

“ASS? I love it. I love the characters. I love the story.”

“We have to talk about that acronym,” the fairy godmother said, shaking her head in disapproval. “Well, if you believe in the book, then don’t sit in the corner, hoping, wishing, and praying. Do something!” With that, the fairy godmother gave an impatient twitch of her wand, and zapped our poor author on the, well, ASS.

Let me tell you, those fairy godmother wands sting.

• It can be something as simple as: I read a great book the other day – A Scandalous Scot by @karen_ranney. (Notice how I used the word “great” instead of “good”? – it’s hard to be humble. Ahem. Seriously, feel free to word it your way.)
• Say something on Facebook about A Scandalous Scot and send me a screen print.

• Write a review, post it on Goodreads, Amazon, B&N and send me a screen print.

• Each separate email to me is another entry. So, if you tweet ten times, and send me ten emails, that’s ten entries.
• The drawing is only open to US entrants (because I can’t send a Kindle internationally).

• REALLY IMPORTANT – Please put POMPOM in the subject line (that way, if it gets caught up in my spam software, I can easily find it).
• The drawing will be held Sunday, 7/15/12, so make sure your emails are into me before then.

The easiest way to do a print screen is CTRL+PrintScreen (on your keyboard, normally near the Pause/Break key). Then, go to the email and enter CTRL + V. You can also use the Snipping Tool on Windows 7.
